What Is More Important Than Website Traffic??

So how’s your Friday going?

Before I head out for Dinner, I wanted to share a lesson I wish I had learned
my first two years marketing online, and  before I had cost myself a ton of
profit I could have (should have) had.

I’ve told you before that I believe building your email list and traffic business first is the key to long-term success.

Now here’s a surprise…

The problem for most people isn’t creating
traffic, there are plenty of ways out there to create traffic.

That probably sounds insane, because you’ll find a huge number of people talking about
how most aspiring marketers struggle to create enough traffic . I’ve said the same thing
myself, and it’s true.

But there’s a bigger problem, and the same problem I went through my first two years. Sure I created some traffic those first two years, but the problem did not lie in the traffic itself, the problem was I did not know what to do with the traffic I was creating…………

Ever sent hundreds of visitors to one of your programs and was like, what not one single sale………whats going on I sent thousands of people, ah I know this opportunity must not be any good, I better find a better one?

Now This may shock you….

Traffic in itself will not pay you…….I used traffic exchanges my first two years and never converted one single visitor into a sale, not ONE! In fact, I only converted a handful of sales from all the thousands of visitors from any traffic source I brought to my offers. See it is not the traffic that is the problem for most people, the reason 95 percent of all online marketers fail at creating sustainable long term income is because they do not know what to do with the traffic they are creating. Most people continue to send their hard earned traffic to affiliate websites and products and then sit around and wonder where all  the damn money is!! I know I did the exact same thing……..until one day I received an email from someone and the light bulb went off in my head and I was like ooooooooooh     ahhhhhhhhhhhh     What the hell have I been doing?? Now 5 years later traffic exchanges are the lifeblood of my business……..So what changed, I opened up my ears and listened to the person who sent me that glorious email…….

The problem for most people is learning how to convert, yes convert visitors into leads then into sales and most importantly into relationships. If you do not learn this process you will be a slave to your internet business……..it will become your personal nightmare until you quit!

Its all simple, and you heard it already. You know – beyond a shadow of a doubt – that creating a powerful, personal and responsive list
is the key to your online success. So why havnt you started yet? It is not as hard as you think, it is actually easier than what you are doing now.

How do you create a powerful, personal and responsive list in the first place?!

There is an answer – a very simple one. It involves three primary ingredients, with one thing
in common…They work together to accomplish the same goal…………help someone else get what they need or want. Only then can you get what you want.

The primary ingredients are-

Information and or a product

A delivery system (autoresponder)

Follow up and follow through

Depending upon what you are trying to sell will determine the information or product and the follow up and follow through. For my particular business…

Is Internet Marketing To Complicated?

Someone asked me today, how difficult is it to really figure out how to make a monthly income online, and is internet marketing to complicated for most? Is this why so many people seem to fail? Would I be better off joining one of these team builds?

Is Internet Marketing To Complicated and hard to figure out for most?

The answer is no,  it is actually really simple………………but simple does not mean easy or overnight. It could be a lot faster and a lot easier if people only listened and followed directions, but most refuse to. Part of the problem is there are far way to many websites making exuberant claims about making thousands of dollars overnight and not having to do any work to get the money! In my seven in a half years of marketing online I have never met a single person who ever claimed they made a bunch of money online without doing any work. Now, there are a lot of team building websites claiming that you dont have to do hardly anything and everyone will get wealthy………..you do not have to be a professor to figure out that it is mathematically impossible for everyone in the team to get rich and profit………….the numbers do not work when less than a third are doing all the work! It is the same ploy as for anyone building their own business and not a certain team, because it involves shear numbers, you throw some mud on the fence and hope some of it sticks and the more mud you throw on the fence the more that will stick! The ones that are doing all the work will learn how to market and will make the most money, the ones that thought they would come along for the ride based on the ploy that they did not have to do anything will be left with exactly what they put in……….nothing. This is why your focus should be building your own marketing list and not that of a team………….your going to be doing all the work anyway, you would be ten times better off if you built your own business! Because why should you build the numbers and list for everyone else if you are one of the few who do all the work……….it works this way no matter what, so build your own business. It is enough work the way it is….then to be building 2000 other  peoples businesses, do the math and you will understand.

“Give a person a fish and they will eat today……….teach a person to fish and they will eat for a lifetime”


Those that make there living online….. do the work………..yes essentially you are building up a massive referral organization in most programs online and very few in that organization will do anything significant. But all you need is a few who do what you do and go find there few who go find there few…………and this is where real duplication takes place and real long lasting income will be made. I see it everyday in my own traffic exchange downlines……….sponsor 50 to a hundred people and 7 to 10 of them will be generating almost all the referral credits, yes sure some others will produce a few here and there………all these few credits are for is to carry you through until you find your few that really want it like you.

What you will see with most of these team builds and some it is all ready happening to………..they will start to change the program a little bit here and there, change the numbers or add another program……….they have to because the numbers like I said earlier will not work………..because everyone will not do the work!! My whole point is if you are one of the few who really wants a better lifestyle and are willing to do the work it takes, then by all means build your own business first, it will be a lot simpler and a whole hell of a lot faster! I surf most days over ten thousand credits a day…………..most days I out surf all my referrals put together………and I have a whole lot of referrals, now what if I had to split my ten thousand credits a day with 5000 other people, how much traffic would my own sites get???             GET IT??


This is reality……………the people who really want it are going to work for it first, with every passing month it will get easier and easier as you find your few….who find their few. There is a saying that goes something like this  “what would you rather have a 100% of your own effort doing all the work or 1% of 100 peoples effort doing all the work?”  I know what I would rather have, but with internet marketing you may have 100 people in a program but maybe only 7 to 10 of them will be doing any work? Same principle, those 7 to ten people will be doing more work than the other 90.

We all use the same ploys , sales pitches to get others to join our programs and business opportunities, we try to give reasons why a new person should join up with us, I just prefer to tell people the truth………..this is why I have never joined a team build, I could not tell someone that they just need to join this team and it will be like magic, money will just come pouring in. Oh dont worry you do not have to sponsor anyone or sell anything, just surf one hour a day and you will make 19000 dollars in less than 30 days. Holllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy cow, how do people believe this crap????? I guess the same reason people in this country believe when polled what the number one way they would become rich was? The lottery………..I would have hoped it was to work for it.

Internet marketing is very simple, it is not complicated………you need traffic, products, a marketing system and a plan. Then you need the intangibles……

Hard work

Dedication

Perseverance

Hunger

Determination

Focus

Belief

If you have the intangibles you will figure everything else out…………..this is how people like me work for two years straight with n0 profit and do not quit……….when the dream is big enough the facts dont count! When you are really ready to listen and learn the way will present itself. Being a successful internet marketer amounts to finding a process that works, and then repeating the process over and over and over and over again. Repetition is the mother of all skill………if you do something long enough you have no choice but to get really good at it.

10,000 Hits A Day VS 10,000 Hits A Month??

I just wanted to follow up with this post, I recently read a great article posted on traffichoopla, if you have not read it yet………….please by all means read it, here is the link

Now keep in mind we would spend that time on promoting our splash and squeeze pages and have the same effect, because our Tep letter series builds us downline in these traffic building programs including traffichoopla…………but it truly is a great post. One of the key things he said is “And I achieved success in my daily routine”.  This is key……….there is no magic getting program it really comes down to how hard you work or how much you invest or both………building your traffic business first and the money business will follow.

I really feel for those of you that are struggling and my only hope is that I can offer something that may help get your business off and running a little faster to end some of your frustration, now some of you have been talking about getting 10,000 hits to your splash and squeeze pages and getting -0- subscribers. I know for some of you this 10,000 hits is probably over a 15 to 30 day span, now the difference between why some of you are getting better results than others is some people are surfing 10,000 hits a day(and or buying credits). If you work your business 3 to 4 hours a day consistently you will get much better exposure and have your splash pages being shown almost 24 hours a day. Make sure also you do not forget about other marketing methods such as safelist, text ads, banner ads, forums……etc. There are lots of ways to get traffic to your pages, sometimes like I have said before “think a little bit outside the box” I do get sign ups from a lot of different advertising that I do, but my main focus is on traffic exchanges and safelist because they have yielded the highest sign ups. So utilizing traffic exchanges and safelist are always my first and last task of the day.

Sometimes it is really hard to believe that it will work for you, until you get those very first few subscribers and sales, getting a little bit of success always helps motivate a person to do more. Now if you really want success online…….you will have to operate on a little faith. Meaning do what you would do if you were getting lots of sales and sign ups (you would be working really hard to get more because you know it works) This is how you need to operate even when things are not going as good……you will push through the low spots much faster. I know some of you just really want to know will this damn thing really work for me if I get totally committed???

And the answer is yes…….yes…………yes…………..YES! You are going to have to work for it!

Let me ask you this: Are you willing to put forth as much effort in your business (that you own) as you are willing to put into your job (that someone else owns)?
I heard this saying once
“What you do from 9 to 5 will make you a living but what you do from 5 to 10 will give you a life!”  well anyway something like that.

Now what is the difference between 10,000 hits a month and 10,000 hits a day? Now before I show you,  in reality 10,000 hits a month sound like a lot but all it works out to is 333 hits a day, and if you are surfing say only ten traffic exchanges that only works out to 33.3 hits a day in each of those ten traffic exchanges. Are you still wondering where your signups are?Huh? (and how many of those people are seeing your ad twice??) Now what I am going to show you is what can happen from working to get 10,000 hits a day vs 10,000 hits a month?? This is my inbox from only one of my email accounts for a 24 hour period, I show you this not to brag or say hey look what I did, I just want you to understand what can happen when you get totally committed.

What I want you to mainly see is the number of new subscribers in roughly a 24 hour period, I know a lot of you are struggling to get just one………keep surfing and sending out those ads it will happen for you………I know you can do it and I believe in you.

How Do You Look At Your Internet Business?

I thought I would post this question today, and hope that I can reach some of you who are struggling to make money online. Fortunately for me, I owned several offline businesses in my past so I really didn’t have to adjust my mental attitude much when it came to making money online. Once I learned the marketing, (took me two years to understand it, but I never had no system like this one to walk into neither)  anyway for me the marketing was the tricky part, I all ready understood that I wasnt going to get rich overnight and it was going to take a lot of effort and some money to get things going.

I learned along time ago delayed gratification, most of us are so use too going to work for 8 hours a day 5 days a week and then getting a paycheck at the end of the week that we dont understand any way else. Now if you have ever been a business owner, or gone to school for a long, long time like to be a doctor, most likely you understand delayed gratification because you had to put in the time and money long before you ever really got paid. This is one of the reasons so many people fail with online marketing, its not that their stupid they just dont understand delayed gratification and what the rewards are if you just stick with it.

It kinda works like this…………First you work, work, work, work, work, work, work and then you get paid a little. Then you learn a little more and become somewhat experienced so you work, work, work, work, work, work, and once again you get paid, but this time you get paid twice. Now you role up your sleeves and think hey I am really starting to understand this so you……………………..work, work, work, work, work, so Wow you get paid, paid, paid! Your really starting to fly along now so you work, work, work, work, and GET PAID A WHOLE LOT MORE!…………Finally after some time has passed you have started to become somewhat of an expert other people are relying on you for help and now it seems like every time you work you get paid, paid, paid, paid, paid, paid, paid!

That is kinda how most businesses work online or off……..you get paid less or nothing in the beginning when you are doing all the work and get paid a ton of money later when you are hardly doing anything. You just have to make it through your learning curve, how long that is only time will tell and you will never find out if you give up. That was the first decision I made when coming online to make money, that I wouldn’t quit no matter how long it took.

So back to the question “How Do You Look At Your Internet Business?”


You really need to ask yourself this. Is this just a hobby, do you see it as a real viable business or is it something your just toying around with? Answering these questions will help you define the time and resources you are willing to put into it and also what you will get out of it. I get a whole lot out of my online business because I put a lot into it, I expected to work hard but I also knew my effort would eventually pay off handsomely as long as I never gave up. You really need to have the right mental attitude to be successful in any business.

Understanding delayed gratification, and having the right mental attitude is a huge part to being successful online. You will be successful in your mind long before you are successful with your internet business. Remember this “You will always act on your belief system” What do I mean by this? Your actions will never go beyond what you believe, you will ask the wrong questions. What separates the poor online marketer from the rich one, not asking the right questions.

Example:

Why isn’t this working for me? or What can I do today to get better results?

Why should I pay money to get website traffic, I dont even know if it will work? or How can I increase my website traffic and double my efforts?

Why does surfing traffic exchanges have to be so boring? or What are some things I can do today to make surfing traffic exchanges more energizing so I dont get bored?

Do I really need to join all these programs, maybe I will only join a few of them? or What can I do to speed up the process of joining all these programs so I can get them all done today?

Try this, take a piece of paper and make two columns write down your answers for each set of questions the first side is obviously the wrong questions to ask yourself  and the other side is the right questions to ask. Then right down what you think the outcome of those answers would be? I think you will begin to understand what separates those who make money online and those who dont? “What questions are you asking yourself” Remember what I said you will always act on your belief system, there is no way of getting around it.

I hope that some of you will benefit from this post, and really start to understand that how you view your business and the questions you ask yourself will really determine what actions you take, and how successful your business is. It really is up to you………..

Why You Need A Marketing Plan

Do you like wondering aimlessly through the fields of internet marketing?

That is exactly what I did my first two years online. I avoided every thing I knew I should be doing, I had no plan and no idea of what I was doing. I just advertised wherever and whenever I could, kinda like throwing some mud against the fence and hoping some of it would stick. If you do not have a marketing plan and some goal in mind of where you want to go, you will never get anywhere. I have talked about this subject before, most people avoid doing the tasks that actually work, like building a email marketing list because they think it will be to hard and complicated. I know, I did the same thing, I thought there has got to be a easier way. I have news for you what your doing now is the hardest way, running around advertising here and there and just advertising any old affiliate program or website, that crap dosn’t work!!!!

Do you really want to have a successful internet business and do you really want to improve your financial situation? Let me ask you this, what would another $3000 to $4000 dollars a month do for you and your family? Well the ONLY way, and I mean ONLY way to accomplish these things is to have a marketing plan. The internet is no different than a brick and mortar business, it takes time, effort, money and a marketing plan that WORKS! Your not going to run around advertising haphazardly and sponsor enough people to make you rich, the internet does not work that way, you will have pockets full of lint and a bunch of racked up credit cards! If you wish to keep doing this, then by all means keep doing it and let me know  2 or 3 years from now how it has worked out?

Recently I had one of my new students of  The Real traffic Exchange Profits system here, tell me, wow this seems like a lot of work to set up and join all these programs, I dont know if I can do that. I replied well don’t then, but can you tell me what your plan is to make thousands of dollars a month online is? He replied aaaahhh what do you mean…..cant I just try to sponsor a few people in one program and I can get rich that way? I REPLIED NO, do you really think it is that easy? If it was ,everybody who ever attempted internet marketing would be filthy stinking rich!!!! I know a lot of these program owners make it sound this way, but it is so far from the truth……………

Internet marketing is simple, we make it hard! Why do we?


1. We are lazy by nature (number one way people think that they are going to get rich in this country, Win the lottery!)

2. We don’t want to have to learn to much (that takes effort-goes back to number one)

3. We want instant results, we want everything right now. Remember this “Success is the journey not a destination”


4. We are stubborn , we know there is a better way and we want to recreate the wheel, wont follow instructions

5. We refuse to give up anything for the betterment of our lives (cant give up the price of a few pizzas a month so we can put a few dollars into our business)

6. We believe its the business that is going to make us rich, it has been bread into us that if you own a business you will be rich . But If you never had a good marketing plan, I do not care if you owned a Walmart you would still run it into the ground!  ITS NOT THE BUSINESS ITS THE MARKETING THAT WILL MAKE YOU WEALTHY!  Think about it, has every business ever opened been successful? Why did one grocery store thrive and another across the street shut down? The same thing holds true online, just because you put up a website dosn’t mean you will make any money,  infact most don’t make anything. And just because you joined a shiny new affiliate program dosn’t mean you will make squat either!

Basically that sums it up, that is why 95% of all internet marketers fail, its not because people are dumb or don’t try hard enough. See if we can get over ourselves there is an opportunity awaiting you like no other online! The internet has the ability of leveling the playing field, offline businesses tend to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to start up and run, and you dont have enough time to learn as you go because you have so much money at risk. Anybody who has ever owned a offline business understands this. Now online is a different story, you can start and run a business with very little cost and you can learn as you go, you just need to be willing to put in some effort and understand its going to be your marketing plan that either puts money in your pocket or leaves you flat broke.

For those of you that are reading this that are still thinking there is some other way, go a head and try and you will be severely disappointed and will have wasted oodles of your time,  effort and money. Without a marketing plan you are sunk, and if your plan does not involve building a email marketing list forget it you might as well quit now! I have got to be completely honest if I want to help you at all. You will never get rich overnight on the internet, it will take you time, effort and some money, but if you build it right you will never have to worry about money again!

Just remember the money is in the marketing not the business, ” Give a person a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a person to fish and he will eat for a lifetime”

Turn Your Pennies Into Gold!

What would you rather have ONE MILLION DOLLARS cash in hand or a penny that doubles for, let’s say 30 days?  Tomorrow the penny is worth two pennies, and by the tenth day it’s worth $5.00. Most people choose the million dollars because it’s difficult to see that the penny would, even by doubling, be able to exceed a million dollars in just thirty days. However, on day 31 the penny is worth over FIVE million dollars!

This is exactly what this business reminds of, your effort keeps doubling your pennies to eventually your pennies are worth a whole lot of money!

Now how fast do you want your pennies to double?

Marketing Online With A Purpose

Well, As I had said in one of my other post, I have been marketing online for 7 years, I all ready have the belief that I can make money online. Some of you don’t have that belief yet. Everything I do to market my OBA and TEP business is done with a purpose, to get results. If I dont get results, I change my approach. Once I joined this business my mind was made up all ready, it wasn’t well maybe this will work or I’ll give it a try, I decided right then and their that no matter what I will be successful with this business.

Belief has a lot to do with your actions, some of you may not understand this yet. In my mind this is the best online business on the internet, I dont look at other offers or get side tracked by other websites. I do everything with specific intent. You can waste a lot of time online and think your getting stuff done when in reality you did very little to progress your business.

If your not getting results, you need to fix your belief first, why are you doing this? Do you want just a little extra gas money, or do you want to make thousands of dollars? This will decide your commitment level, and how much time and money you are willing to invest? Having the desire to be successful is really only the first step, you really need to develop the reason why you are doing this and how important it is to you to reach your goals and dreams.

You have to treat this business like it is a million dollar business long before it will ever become one. This is why I stress being organized, you can waste countless hours doing the simplest of task if you are not. If you had a business that you bought for $100,000 dollars how would you treat it, would you give up with the slightest set back or would you reorganize your plan if you were not getting results? I know you only paid $5 dollars to join the OBA, but you still need to treat it like you paid $100,000 for it, to make any serious money, unless your just after some gas money?

I am going to be honest with you, that is the only way I can help you get better results.
If Your not getting results change your approach, dont wait for months to pass. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. How Do you change your approach, stop doing what your doing and readjust your plan?

1. Define why you are doing this, engrave this in your brain, put up signs with goals on them or something you want to buy or do. Keep your why in front of you. It will motivate though set backs and times when your not getting the results you want.

2. Get organized, I make everything as accessible as possible so I dont have to waste time searching. Bookmark everything in specific folders, traffic exchanges, safelist and all your frequently used programs. This takes less time to find them, you just open and click. I even organize my email with filters, every safelist and program I use has its own folder where its mail goes into all on its own because of the filters I set up. I also copy and save all my content and ads I create, when you need it again all you have to do is copy and paste. Yes, these things take time to set up, but once you have them set up you will save oodles and oodles of time in all your marketing efforts.

**Safelist Tips
Organize your safelist according to the frequency in which you can send email, once every seven days, every 3 days and so on. A great tool for this is viral mail profits. Most people dont do this and are not taking every available opportunity to send out their ads. Dont use the same title and ad body in your emails you send out in the same day, a lot of people use gmail and google tends to group email together with the same title and ad body. Viral Mail Profits is a great tool for this, and its free to join.

3. Set up a marketing schedule as to not get overwhelmed.
Having daily task set up, saves you time and stops you from meandering all over the place. You get a lot more done when you prioritize what you do each day. I set aside time for clicking for credits in my safelist. I rank everything by number to the importance of getting it done each day. Traffic exchanges and safelist are number one and number two on my list. They have provided the most subscribers. I also use this as a factor in determining where I upgrade and spend my advertising dollars.

4. Track and test your marketing campaigns, everything I do gets tracked in some way. I want to know what and where I am getting results from. When I find something that is working good, I double my efforts or I upgrade to leverage my time. Tracking gives you the ability to get results faster and more often. One of my new favorites for this is vital viral pro, excellent site!

5. Make sure that you utilize the system that has been set up for you by the OBA and TEP. The system works and if you dont join the programs with in these two businesses you will miss out on a lot of income and referrals. All it takes is missing out on a couple ad space leases or referals to npn to possibly lose a lot of income. When You are doing everything with a purpose, you wont side step a program or not pay for an adspace lease because it takes time to set up or cost $30 one time to buy. You will act on faith because you have belief that you will be successful and do whatever it takes to get you closer to your dreams and goals. Make sure you have joined all programs inside any downline builder, everyone. Unless you like giving the referrals to someone else, it only takes giving up one sometimes?

6.Put your heart in to it….. Get in contact with your new OBA business owners, introduce yourself and welcome them, let them know you are here to help them. Encourage them to visit here, they will see what a wonderful organization they are part of.

Not everyone will get the same results from their marketing efforts, but these suggestions are the best tips I can give you for getting better results with any of your online marketing, it dosnt matter if its safelist, traffic exchanges or posting ads in forums. Getting organized, tracking your efforts and marketing with a purpose will always help you to get better results. I am not doing anything differently, their is no magic ad or title to use in your ads, the system works if you work the system. You are trying to reach as many people as effectively as you can in the time that you commit. Organization is the difference between surfing ten traffic exchanges in an hour to surfing twenty, the difference between sending email through ten safelist in an hour to thirty, you reach more people in less time, hence better results.
