How Big Of An Email List Do I Need To Build, In Order To Make My Living Online Or Some Serious Monthly Income?

This is what I was asked today by one of my Fellow TE Profits partners, he has also just started  following the steps for Real Traffic Exchange Profits on the right hand side of this blog. Fortunately for the people that are following this system here, the answer is, not as many as you think. We all hear about the people who have thousands upon thousands of people on there list, who make millions a year………most of those people are sending out random product offer after random product offer to their list constantly. I am sure you have been on one of those list at some point, and got off of it. All they are really interested in is your money, and not really helping you.

This tends to give the perspective and one of the reasons why most people do not try there hand at building a email list sooner, they tend to look at some matrix plan or something and think, hey if I can just find 5 people I will be in the money, they believe that building an email list isnt instant money and we live in a now society, we want to be able to borrow our life away to get what ever we want now! We all seem to want what we think is easier, even though we know better. In all actuality building your email list is the fastest and simplest way to making a living online, and there are a whole ton of reasons why. Well…anyway back to the question, the reason you do not need a massive mailing list to earn your living online, is because with this system of TE Profits And The OBA (Online Business Alliance) that is incorporated in to our list building that we are teaching, you only need to find two people. This is because we teach and use something that no one else does and that is called stacked income, and no not multiple income streams, but you will get that to if you follow the system correctly. I was reading over some post today in the OBA forum and decided to add this here as well because investing in your business has to do a lot with commitment. One of the biggest mistakes I see being made by people new and experienced to internet marketing is “program hopping”. This is when someone joins every new program that they see, in hopes it will be easier than the last.

When you hop from one program to the next you are not going to have success in building downlines in your main business.

Until you learn how to build one downline, the only new programs that you should be joining are ones that give you more tools to help build your downline (basically traffic building programs). Now that said your number one priority should always be in building your email marketing list and the new relationships that come with it. I know sometimes that it seems that all your effort is in waste and the small investments that you have made are not doing anything but adding more stress to the ever amounting stress you all ready have. This is where the rubber meets the road so to speak, what I see more and more is people joining programs like this one and working it for a month or two and when they have not made any sales they quit and join a new program because it offers a even more fabulous marketing program (like there is anything better than this) and when that one does not work they join a even more fabulous marketing program………………..and then they burn out and die!

To those of you who are destined to be successful online, you will have the will to stay the course, you will promote when it does not seem to be working and when it still does not seem to be working you will promote even harder because your desire to make it work outways the obstacles you must overcome. The internet can be just like any other business offline, there are good times and there are bad……..but what will determine your degree of success will be your will and your determination to stay the course and make it work no matter what! It will never be easy and it will be as difficult as you make it……….but remember what you put in you will get out of it………….and when you think you have worked it hard, dig down deep and work it even harder for in lies success lies the effort that you put forth!

I am no body special, I am not better than anyone else, I am not even that good with computers. My wife and kids call me the pecker because I still type with only two fingers. My son Jon who is twelve has been building websites since he was ten. I just finally figured out how to build a website recently and I have been marketing online over 7 years.

People are always emailing me and asking what am I doing differently to get such fast results. First off I do not consider my results very fast, I would like them to be even faster. And my only reply is, the one thing I am really good at, is out working most people. When most people talk about surfing 10,000 credits their talking about the last 30 days, when I talk about 10,000 credits I am talking about today. I get good results because I put in money and a whole lot of effort, I surfed yesterday about 20 traffic exchanges an average of 600 credits in each, so about 12,000 credits, I am also upgraded in 20 traffic exchanges. My effort matches my investment commitment. I want to make money now, not tomorrow. I really do feel for the people who struggle to make money online, but most people do not really understand what it takes to make money fast (or even slow) on the internet. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and some investment to get things really moving. My first two years online I lost a few thousand dollars..yes lost money, now I could of quit….but I considered it my tuition.

Sometimes we all get stuck in a rut, just like at our jobs…..we go to work everyday and go through the motions, but we really do not try to excel at what we do. We get caught in the same rut in our internet businesses, we go through the motions but we do not really try to excel at what we are doing. Yet we still expect to have thousands or hundreds of dollars coming in, even though our effort and commitment does not meet our expectations!  When things are not working so well for me, I roll up my sleeves and go to work, I will not stop until I get results!. There are many days that I have made the commitment that I can not quit until I get at least one new subscriber to my list, setting goals and sticking to them is extremely important…….It gives you something to work for and keeps you going when nothing seems to be working.

This is what I hope to portray to you is an attitude that you will never give up and you will do what ever it takes to be successful online(if that is what you really want). But stay the course, believe this is it……….I do not care if you get -0- subscribers your first six months………you are learning and it takes time, but do not undo your past six months commitment by quitting, otherwise you will lose out on what the next six months may bring you. Success is not an accident…….it is not the lottery……..nobody will do it for you………teambuilds will not make you rich. It is up to you and only you…….Dave Gray and Scott Douglas have you on the right path……….there is no better programs then the ones they have created for us, just stick to it and keep working it……….eventually good things will come to you.

Why it is so important to upgrade and invest money in your business……….

Most people who dont have a business background tend to look at upgrading or business program fees as expenses, there use to paying bills for there home or lifestyle and buying things that depreciate in value (except hopefully their home) so it ads stress and its something  they have to pay for every month, otherwise the items they are paying for get taken away or shut off, etc. Most of us have never really learned to build our financial well being first, and learn how to make money work for us, instead we work for money at a (9 to 5 job) because we went and spent money on our lifestyle first. So we are constantly in a rat race trying to keep up,and now we need instant income to pay for our expenses.

There are basically only three types of income, and usually only one of them provides instant income, the other two require understanding delayed gratification:

1..Earned income
You trade your time for money (Your job)
Instant income

2.Portfolio income
Bonds ,stocks, mutual funds (investments)
delayed gratification

3.Residual Or Passive Income (Your Business)
Businesses, real estate, insurance
delayed gratification

A wealthy business friend of mine always use to tell me “The key to becoming wealthy is the ability to convert earned income into passive / or portfolio income” He also taught me that trading your time for money (Earned income) was very limited because you could only ever earn x amount of $ based on time, so you are limited to the amount of time you can work in a week (and there is only one of you) through investing in number 2 and 3 you multiply your time and money (you make money work for you).

Now building passive or residual income takes learning how to make money work for you, switching your mind set from, oh my God another expense to Wow that investment in upgrading in that traffic exchange can really save me time and increase my traffic ten fold!  Again we tend to ask the wrong questions “How much is this going to cost me” instead of “How much is this going to make me?” it still surprises me even in a business with so little investment how bad some people question it, I mean none of us go to Mcdonalds and are like hey, you mean to tell me that burger cost 4.95, wow I better not buy that, its going to hurt the budget this week, no we shell it out like it means nothing. That burger isnt giving us anything back, except heartburn, extra calories and a expense that is not even necessary, but we still do not even question it.

An expense is something that takes away
A investment is something that gives back

So why do we question business investments so little as $5 bucks a month, because we are not getting a burger back, something tangible immediately, we were not taught to invest in our financial well being first, we were taught how to create expenses for an instant lifestyle? I know I was, but I ventured off into business when I was very young and got one of the best educations I could have ever earned and it wasnt through any college. It was by starting a small business and learning that investments were necessary to expand and grow any business. So I stopped asking the question “How much is this going to cost me” and started asking myself………”What areas of my business should I invest in to make it grow stronger, faster and save me the most amount of work” I learned to think like a business owner………..I had to invest in my business if I wanted it to grow. Learning to invest in your business you realize most of the time the results are not instant its about delayed gratification.

So how do we make are internet businesses grow stronger, faster and save us time getting us to where we want to be? By investing our money in marketing or products that will leverage our time and increase our efforts and profits (remember there is only one of you) click, click, click. Buying a thousand credits, or upgrading in a traffic exchange versus clicking for them? Which takes longer, hence what one will give you results faster? Which will save you time? Now how do you multiply your efforts even more, by doing both! See now it is not just dependent on your effort, your money is working for you, so you can earn more $ faster and with less effort because your money is doing part of the work, now you will see profits and growth faster, You have multiplied your self! I hate to see people struggle with anything, but most of the time we ourselves make things harder than they really are. I was fortunate through past experience to have the right mental attitude when I started with the OBA and TEP, I was getting subscribers to my lists and sales pretty much from day one, one of the things I did different than most of the people I see struggling, was invest in my business right from the get go. Not only did I upgrade in programs that would make it grow faster, I matched my investments with my effort……….I wanted my business to grow fast. I mean come on…. $9.95 a month for an upgrade in a traffic exchange, man I spent more money on pop in a week before………you want to make a lot of money right?  (I dont drink pop anymore its bad for you) I have never understood how people come online and think that they are going to make thousands and thousands of dollars a month and not have to invest any money??*%#??

“If you believe in something, its not hard to act on a little faith”

Now one of the real beauties of this business……….the ingenious of it all, is it really can work almost completely on autopilot……..the income becomes passive………you will start to understand this, the more you learn and as your business starts to grow a little on its own. You can pretty much run this business on investment alone, your money will do 95% of the work and grow MONTH AFTER MONTH. Infact people who come into this business with the right attitude and there finances in order could pretty much set it up and almost walk away, and it would grow! (they would have to do a few administrative duties, send a few emails once in a while, you know the hard stuff)
Once you really, truly understand this incredible system that Dave Gray and Scott Douglas have put together, it will blow you away of how simple it really is and investing in your business will be something you are eager to do!!

Hear is another question I ask my self all the time when it comes to making investment decisions, this question I ask myself is why I joined this business when it was emailed to me. This business fit the bill, I could see that anyone could eventually make it work even on a shoe string budget.

“How Do I make the most amount of money in the least amount of time with the least amount of effort with the least amount of investment?”

I really want to help people understand , when opportunity presents itself take advantage of it, nothing is guaranteed in life, but you will never gain anything if you dont try.Dont let fear stop you from pursuing the life you have always wanted. Realize Success (Life) is not a destination but the journey itself, you will learn you will grow you will cry but in the end you will be a better person for it and will have helped others a long the way….

As you probably already know, a hacker has corrupted the main page of the OBC forum, causing a malicious pop-up whenever called. Google has also noticed and is displaying a warning with search results.

Rather than continue trying to find and fix the problem (which could take days, maybe weeks) I’ve decided to use this as an opportunity to switch to the latest version of the software that runs the OBC as well as re-design the OBC so that it’ll be easier for people to use.

This will also eliminate all of the obsolete information that’s presently floating around in the OBC.

Right now the new OBC is very “generic” in appearance, and it’ll take a while to make it look like “ours”, but we will.

You can find the new OBC forum at  http://onlinebusinessalliance.com/obc2/ (and you’ll need to register, as we’ll no longer be using the old OBC database). Use your same log in.

I will also be revising the steps that a new Business Owner takes to set up his business.

Issues and challenges will undoubtedly arise during the transition, but if we continue to work together I’m certain that we will emerge from this unfortunate incident with an even better resource (Forum) for all OBA Business Owners.

Well for those of you who are all ready part of the OBA (Online Business Alliance) I just wanted to let you all know that Dave is Back Home! Dave Gray the creator of the OBA suffered a really bad leg and foot injury and spent the last few months recovering in a assisted living facility due to a neuromuscular condition that left him unable to care for himself on his own. His recovery has been good and now he is finally back home. So if you are all ready a member take the time to log in to the forum and welcome him back, he is a very great leader and a inspiration to us all. He has developed the best legitimate honest online business that I have ever been part of in my 7 years marketing online!
