Today There was a question asked in a popular marketing forum I am a member of, and this person wanted to know how to start a new blog the right way and use the proper marketing techniques to build traffic straight away. So I decided to post my answer here on my blog for my readers. I will be doing this a lot more in my blog post, because some of the peoples questions in these marketing forums, are questions that a lot of internet marketers would like some advice on.

This was the actual question..“I’m building a new blog and I hope I can find new ideas to make my new blog succeed better than old ones. It is all about blogging in general. Could you share me some course or advice on how to start it the right way with traffic and the proper marketing techniques (social networks, video marketing..etc)?
I would greatly appreciate it”

And this was my answer..

1. Make your blog mobile friendly. # Number one. The search engines, are giving less value now to blogs that are not mobile responsive.

2. Write good content consistently, blogging at least once a day is best, but at least 1 a week, bare minimum.

3. Install the right plugins.

a. Jetpack, very awesome plugin, sends emails out to your subscribers every time you make a new blog post and many other functions.
b. Akismet, stops comment spam in its track.
c. Popupalley, great plugin for building your email list, has multiple different ways to use it.
d. WP Super Cache, speeds up your blogs loading time
e. Magic action box, put opt-in box directly in your blog post

These plugins help automate posting to your social networks, plus gain more followers in your social networks, and notify your blog subscribers by email of new blog post, block comment spam, build your email list, without doing much additional work. These are must have plugins, if you wish to have a successful blog. Now there are other versions of these plugins available by different names, these are just the plugins I personally use.

4. Build traffic to your new blog, through blog commenting on other peoples blogs, guest blogging, private label seo services, email marketing, youtube videos..

5. Take action each and everyday and strive to put out great content and increase your blog following each and everyday.

Blogging is a great way to teach people and expand your business goals.

Hope that gives you a great start!

  1. Awesome Richard, I Like that (You find the problem and give the solution in your blog, that really awesome)

Here is some tips that i read in a article, to get more traffic in your blog:

The content of your blog is very important. It is the reason why people visit your blog. Try to make your blog interesting and learn to master the ideas
    included in your blog.

Some bloggers take the extra mile just to ping and do not solely rely on the blog software pings. The blog software pings’ job is to update the servers for the purpose of announcing your content updates. Search engines and blog directories then checks these update servers for the latest updates; this is the reason why your blog’s content gets into search engines quickly.

RSS feeds are also important. Not only will you be able to publish your content within a short duration but also replicate your content through the use of your RSS feed. Nowadays, the flow of your content is real-time and the RSS allows you to show your content to a wider audience.

And Last: Always build your list, the more you build your list, the more people can you send a blog link and people can visit your blog post.

    1. Thanks Rafael for the extra information and tips, I am sure everyone will appreciate them. And thanks again for commenting my friend, appreciate it as always.

  2. Once again a great post. One thing that I like which you keep emphasizing is that you have to post content regularly. That is so important. I had not heard of the PopUpAlley plugin but will check it out.

    1. Thanks Bo, sorry didn’t get to your comment sooner, have been working on some new squeeze pages..PopupAlley has been a very easy to use plug in, and worked great with my Pureleverage/GVO autoresponders..Works with any and all autoresponders actually, so gets my full approval! I have tried others in the past and they were way over complicated..
