Before I head out for Dinner, I wanted to share a lesson I wish I had learned
my first two years marketing online, and  before I had cost myself a ton of
profit I could have (should have) had.

I’ve told you before that I believe building your email list and traffic business first is the key to long-term success.

Now here’s a surprise…

The problem for most people isn’t creating
traffic, there are plenty of ways out there to create traffic.

That probably sounds insane, because you’ll find a huge number of people talking about
how most aspiring marketers struggle to create enough traffic . I’ve said the same thing
myself, and it’s true.

But there’s a bigger problem, and the same problem I went through my first two years. Sure I created some traffic those first two years, but the problem did not lie in the traffic itself, the problem was I did not know what to do with the traffic I was creating…………

Ever sent hundreds of visitors to one of your programs and was like, what not one single sale………whats going on I sent thousands of people, ah I know this opportunity must not be any good, I better find a better one?

Now This may shock you….

Traffic in itself will not pay you…….I used traffic exchanges my first two years and never converted one single visitor into a sale, not ONE! In fact, I only converted a handful of sales from all the thousands of visitors from any traffic source I brought to my offers. See it is not the traffic that is the problem for most people, the reason 95 percent of all online marketers fail at creating sustainable long term income is because they do not know what to do with the traffic they are creating. Someone asked me today, how difficult is it to really figure out how to make a monthly income online, and is internet marketing to complicated for most? Is this why so many people seem to fail? Would I be better off joining one of these team builds?

Is Internet Marketing To Complicated and hard to figure out for most?

The answer is no,  it is actually really simple………………but simple does not mean easy or overnight. It could be a lot faster and a lot easier if people only listened and followed directions, but most refuse to. Part of the problem is there are far way to many websites making exuberant claims about making thousands of dollars overnight and not having to do any work to get the money! In my seven in a half years of marketing online I have never met a single person who ever claimed they made a bunch of money online without doing any work. Now, there are a lot of team building websites claiming that you dont have to do hardly anything and everyone will get wealthy………..you do not have to be a professor to figure out that it is mathematically impossible for everyone in the team to get rich and profit………….the numbers do not work when less than a third are doing all the work! It is the same ploy as for anyone building their own business and not a certain team, because it involves shear numbers, you throw some mud on the fence and hope some of it sticks and the more mud you throw on the fence the more that will stick! The ones that are doing all the work will learn how to market and will make the most money, the ones that thought they would come along for the ride based on the ploy that they did not have to do anything will be left with exactly what they put in……….nothing. This is why your focus should be building your own marketing list and not that of a team………….your going to be doing all the work anyway, you would be ten times better off if you built your own business! Because why should you build the numbers and list for everyone else if you are one of the few who do all the work……….it works this way no matter what, so build your own business. It is enough work the way it is….then to be building 2000 other  peoples businesses, do the math and you will understand.

“Give a person a fish and they will eat today……….teach a person to fish and they will eat for a lifetime”

Those that make there living online….. do the work………..yes essentially you are building up a massive referral organization in most programs online and very few in that organization will do anything significant. But all you need is a few who do what you do and go find there few who go find there few…………and this is where real duplication takes place and real long lasting income will be made. I see it everyday in my own traffic exchange downlines……….sponsor 50 to a hundred people and 7 to 10 of them will be generating almost all the referral credits, yes sure some others will produce a few here and there………all these few credits are for is to carry you through until you find your few that really want it like you.

What you will see with most of these team builds and some it is all ready happening to………..they will start to change the program a little bit here and there, change the numbers or add another program……….they have to because the numbers like I said earlier will not work………..because everyone will not do the work!! My whole point is if you are one of the few who really wants a better lifestyle and are willing to do the work it takes, then by all means build your own business first, it will be a lot simpler and a whole hell of a lot faster! I surf most days over ten thousand credits a day…………..most days I out surf all my referrals put together………and I have a whole lot of referrals, now what if I had to split my ten thousand credits a day with 5000 other people, how much traffic would my own sites get???             GET IT??

This is reality……………the people who really want it are going to work for it first, with every passing month it will get easier and easier as you find your few….who find their few. There is a saying that goes something like this  “what would you rather have a 100% of your own effort doing all the work or 1% of 100 peoples effort doing all the work?”  I know what I would rather have, but with internet marketing you may have 100 people in a program but maybe only 7 to 10 of them will be doing any work? Same principle, those 7 to ten people will be doing more work than the other 90.

We all use the same ploys , sales pitches to get others to join our programs and business opportunities, we try to give reasons why a new person should join up with us, I just prefer to tell people the truth………..this is why I have never joined a team build, I could not tell someone that they just need to join this team and it will be like magic, money will just come pouring in. Oh dont worry you do not have to sponsor anyone or sell anything, just surf one hour a day and you will make 19000 dollars in less than 30 days. Holllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy cow, how do people believe this crap????? I guess the same reason people in this country believe when polled what the number one way they would become rich was? The lottery………..I would have hoped it was to work for it.

Internet marketing is very simple, it is not complicated………you need traffic, products, a marketing system and a plan. Then you need the intangibles……

Hard work

Dedication

Perseverance

Hunger

Determination

Focus

Belief

If you have the intangibles you will figure everything else out…………..this is how people like me work for two years straight with n0 profit and do not quit……….when the dream is big enough the facts dont count! When you are really ready to listen and learn the way will present itself. Being a successful internet marketer amounts to finding a process that works, and then repeating the process over and over and over and over again. Repetition is the mother of all skill………if you do something long enough you have no choice but to get really good at it.

There are a number of people who doubt traffic exchange marketing works, because a lot of them had tried it in the past only to get little to no results, usually these same people have not had results with any marketing online.

There are two main reasons why

1. They quit long before they ever figure out how to effectively use the marketing method they have chosen, and this is not just limited to traffic exchanges, I am talking about all online marketing.

2. They do not learn from somebody who has all ready done it before them. They start off all excited and think they have it all figured out, and instead of learning from someone else’ s mistakes they just assume they know what to do and fail miserably.

1. Anyone can figure out how to use a traffic exchange successfully, I mean anyone!

My son who is twelve now was ten or eleven when he first started using traffic exchanges for his gaming website he built. I never showed him how to join a traffic exchange or how to put in a url or even what it was, he figured it out all on his own. He was on the internet one day and I walked over by him and I seen he was surfing traffic exchanges. I was like hey what the heck are you doing?  I was wondering did you log into my traffic exchanges some how and start surfing them? He told me no , I did a search for website traffic, because I needed some traffic to my gaming site and joined a bunch. I was like how did you figure it out? He said Dad, it was so simple, how could I not figure it out?

The little bugger was getting new members advertising a sign up page he made on a free site, I had to compete with him after that to get on the computer! (he even figured out how to build a ruff squeeze page by doing a search for creating sign up pages) As we get older sometimes we are not as teachable, we think we know everything.

2. They are free to join and use, you can join and click for as many visitors as you want.

This means broad appeal, free or inexpensive website traffic. What website owner or affiliate marketer does not need website traffic?

3. Traffic exchanges work, and it is instant traffic that you will receive.

It is not like putting up links somewhere and hoping someone will come along sometime and click your link. You know you will get as many people viewing your site that you pay or click to get. You do not have to wait weeks or months to get traffic , and you know exactly how many visitors you will get.

4. It is easy to refer new members and when you refer new members guess what this means? More free traffic!

See when you refer new members, traffic exchanges reward you with bonus credits and credits when your new referrals surf. Traffic exchanges have actually been one of the easiest traffic programs ever to refer new people too!

5. It is targeted traffic, everyone who is surfing in a traffic exchange is an opportunity seeker of some kind.

This means every eyeball that views your site is a potential sale or lead, they are all trying to build a success full business. People just do not join traffic exchanges because they have nothing better to do, they are there for a purpose.

Try doing a ppc campaign and flop down $1000 bucks and get two sales out of the deal….I have seen it more than once.

9. Traffic exchanges offer the opportunity through referrals to build a huge residual traffic flow.

That will regenerate itself every month, and eventually you will never have to surf again and your traffic will keep on a coming!! It is unlike any other marketing in the fact that you can literally create a self propagating traffic flow without constant effort from you. No other marketing online is like this.

10. This is one of my favorites, traffic exchanges will even pay you……yes pay you!

If you refer people to traffic exchanges some people understand the value of upgrading and they will, most traffic exchanges do an excellent job promoting to their members the numerous benefits to upgrading. Not to mention the ten reasons I have just listed, I am myself am upgraded in twenty or so traffic exchanges and I get paid from every one of them. Not to bad when your traffic generation programs pay you on top of giving some really great traffic. And the nice thing about referring members to traffic exchanges is you do not need to sell them on upgrading the traffic exchanges do it for you.

Now you know why I teach traffic exchange marketing and why it works so well, I use other forms of marketing at times but I spend 95% of my time using traffic exchanges and safelist to build my email marketing list. Your efforts spent there pays very well in income and traffic. With any and all marketing online there is always stuff you need to learn to get the maximum results……….and that is the key, finding someone to model or follow  that is willing to teach you success full marketing techniques.

You will join a lot of traffic programs in your quest for financial freedom but by all means do not jump from income opportunity to income opportunity because it does not work in a month, every one has a learning curve and a real business takes time to build. The first business you should be building anyway is your traffic business, not your income business………….you will understand this better as you go, and by reading this post again. If you have traffic you can sell anything, you do not want to become a slave to your internet business and if you always have to keep inventing ways to generate traffic you will be!

I am using both of these two viral marketing tools to build my email marketing list, I have 10 links and twelve ads set up in each one. Yes, I Know This Website Isn’t Flashy, there are no twinkling graphics and no pictures of boats or piles of money.
